Lord Byng Secondary - Senior Rugby Team
Being the youngest member of the Lord Byng Secondary senior rugby team during my Grade 10 year was both an exhilarating and challenging experience. Stepping onto the field against seasoned Grade 12 players was daunting at first; their size and experience made the game intense. Despite the age difference, I quickly learned to hold my own, relying on speed and agility to match their physicality. Each game was a valuable lesson, teaching me teamwork, resilience, and the importance of strategy in a fast-paced environment. My teammates were incredibly supportive, guiding me through tough moments and celebrating our victories together. This formative experience strengthened my skills and instilled a deep passion for the sport that I carry with me to this day. Playing with and against older players pushed me to grow and excel, making my time on the team truly unforgettable.
